I bought this with the hardwire kit and fit it to my dad’s car. Purchased this for my dad as he wanted a new dashcam, but wasn’t bothered about a fancy expensive one. This makes installation easy. The most difficult part of connecting the kit was finding something to connect the earth wire to.

I don’t know why the power lead has that when the rear cam cable has a sideways cable. That said, this isn’t a feature I use with 100% accuracy as the location of the camera is inside my vehicle at the top of the rear window (I’ve done this to capture footage behind me as opposed to having accurate parking navigation) opposed to the recommended suggestion of placing the rear camera above the car registration plate, enabling accurate reverse parking navigation. I wanted a dashcam but didn’t want to spend loads of money on a sophisticated one until I’d had one for a while and knew what I wanted it to do. Unscrew the door step and the wall panel, running the cable under and then through over the wheel.

Run the rear wire camera wire under and along the passenger door seal, unscrewing the door step, and the trim for the seat belt, feeding it through to the load area door step. Changing the fuse in the fuse wire connector was really hard. The Best dash camera and quality for under £100 with Excellent customer service and warranty.

It would appear I once managed to insert a card the wrong way round and it vanished inside never to be seen again. Eventually, I made a cradle for it to sit on the dashboard which means I can easily remove the device if I need to (see picture).
