“The day I lose my compassion is the day I will stop working. I loved it from the moment I started reading and it’s a shame it’s quite a sort book, however I’m looking forward to reading the next one.

I really liked this bookI could not put it down. I admire her honesty and am glad she’s help fuel my slightly strange obsession with prisons! It’s full of heart warming, eye opening and funny moments that made this quite an easy read. So detailed and heartfelt.

I really enjoyed following Dr Brown find her place in the prison system, from her anxious expectations through the gritty reality. Also makes you realise why some of the inmates are in there in the first place…especially the women! I really enjoyed reading about the range of situations that she has to deal with on a daily basis – 5 stars! I was fully engrossed for the couple of hours it took me to finish it and I just couldn’t put it down!

So well written and gives a real insight into the prison service from a doctor’s point of view! ) but as far as I can remember, I’ve never read anything prison-related before.
