Layla by Colleen HooverI give this book 4 starsWhen Leeds meets Layla, he’s convinced he’ll spend the rest of his life with her—until an unexpected attack leaves Layla fighting for her life. Whilst Layla is a departure from her usual genre, it’s still a love story at heart, albeit with a paranormal twist that adds to the suspense. The only thing I feel let the story down was the abrupt ending as it suddenly felt a bit rushed but putting that aside I was not disappointed by my first Colleen Hoover outing and I have ‘It Ends With Us on my tbr’. Genre: paranormal romance (I’m not sure if this is YA but it would suit a YA audience).

I’d seen some quite mixed reviews for this book and wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Being a Colleen Hoover fan, I went with my gut and I’m glad I did. Wow!

If the genre is putting you off reading this book don't let it! This book is one of the best. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, it had the right balance of spookiness without it being over the top with silly scare antics. I'd read reviews and knew this one was of a different genre, paranormal which does not interest me or so I thought.

Of course I don’t want to spoil the ending of this book for anyone as EVERYONE should read this! not entirely fussed about that tho, just will be a bit bigger than the rest of the books on my bookshelf.

Can’t believe how good it is But if he makes the wrong choice, it could be detrimental for all of them. If you haven't read this yet, you should. Overall, I can see why some people didn’t like it, it was a little odd in parts and the female lead is hard to connect with (but this is part of the story) but it is a gripping read that is fast paced with plenty of intrigue.
