About this deal

Product Details

Until now, the Indian Army's contribution has been consistently forgotten and ignored by many Western historians but Robert Lyman proves how vital this hard-fought campaign was in securing Allied victory in the east. All three feature in the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition expansion, Dawn of the Dukes, available now! It wasn't until March 1944, when the Japanese staged their famed 'March on Delhi', that the years of rebuilding paid off and, after bitter fighting, the Japanese were finally defeated at Kohima and Imphal. © Games Workshop Limited 2022. New commanders were appointed, significant training together with restructuring took place, and new tactics were developed.

Reviews

Mr. R. Wild

New as described, 500+ pages, next day delivery, recommend. This book is a masterpiece that explains the Burma Campaign very clearly and yet so eloquently.

Tanglefoot

It provides an impressive panoramic overview of the challenges faced by the Allied and Japanese armies and how events unfolded, while at the same time sensitively describing the actions of those who fought in such appalling conditions. Fresh new insight to an area that often avoids the spotlight of the narrative. Enjoyable read and new perspective on the Burma campaign. Robert Lyman’s comments about the leaders on all sides are also most illuminating.
