As we reflect on our curriculum within school, it’s vital that all staff are aware of how EYFS fits into this. The contributors are all very well known in the field and are skilled at interweaving theory, their own experiences and pedagogy in an easy to read format. I was gifted this book at an Early Years conference recently and have already found it incredibly useful!

It can be read from cover to cover to deepen knowledge, challenge practice and encourage critical thinking or, one you can pick up and use to develop specific areas. It will definitely become text I regularly refer back to and share with colleagues moving forward. This is a a must have read! A particular takeaway for me was thinking about the ‘taught’ curriculum and the ‘environmental’ curriculum.

I wish I’d had it whist completing my degree! A brilliant read! There are lots of reflective questions to consider after each chapter and it gives clear thinking on the many elements we consider when thinking about curriculum and practice.
