If you want to know the power and poignancy of early grief, and truly understand, buy a copy for yourself too. The book was bigger than I had expected (I did not read the dimensions) but I like the size.

I highly recommend this book for parents and guardians too. The book takes you along Michael Rosen’s thoughts in such a way that you feel with him yet can also understand everything from your own perspective. Rosen's sad book is a tragically genuine and relatable resource for discussing topics such as sadness, grief or bereavement with children.

The book fir our granddaughter who just lost her other grandmother looks lovely but I’m sad that the front cover is ripped. Should I keep this book or go for return? / The last bit means I don’t want to be here. Quentin Blake's illustrations are as always, remarkable.
