Which leads me to my irritation over the ending . Reading a book is such a personal experience, each of us take different things from the same story. Can they secure a future where they can be together or will creature attacks, political unrest and all-out civil war be the end of them and the gangs they belong to? The world around Roma and Juliette is physically burning, they are forced into confronting the reality of their feelings while pushing past resentments to save their people.

From the first chapter, my heart was in my throat. Forced to pair up again to share intel to uncover who is behind the monster attacks, they can't escape the obvious love and desire they have for one another.
I felt that the two ultimate choices for the conclusion would have been to kill them off as they had been in the Shakespearean tale, or allow them a life together (Don't even get me started on the Epilogue. But it was page 144 that had me actually crying. She faked the death of his friend Marshall.
