Reviews

Lucy Wilson

The water reservoir is easy to locate and fill by lifting the hinged cover to pour water directly into the transparent tank with an orange cover on the underside of the iron to enable the removal of any calcium build up. I am pleased with the performance of the iron and the ease of use. This is a really great iron!

I tend to pop my iron on it’s end or you might like to store it in its box but either way it’s solvable. First up, I ironed my partner’s laundry, including some delicate fabrics and also some denim jeans.

There is also a small orange light which illuminates to indicate when the iron is heating up. Overall I am very pleased with this Iron and the ease with which I am able to get really good results when ironing a variety of fabric types and have no hesitation in recommending. Heats up really quickly and the steam function it’s automatic so you don’t have the press constantly the release button. Like most people I do stick with a couple of settings but it is easy to select different fabric options and the gauge is clearly marked.

1 star off merely because the water level is difficult to judge when filling. This is the best version yet of Philips that I ever used.

I am impressed with the design and function of this Philips 7000 Series Steam Iron, as well as the overall quality. It’s well designed and feels sturdy and robust. The reservoir seemed to last for a good while, but best to keep an eye on the level as you go. The steam function is very good.

It is a good weight to enable effective ironing without being too heavy or cumbersome and the shape of the handle makes it comfortable to use. Vertical steaming as well ,easy to use and glides easily on the clothes. My mains plug socket was behind me on my left side but I had absolutely no issues with it interfering with my righthand ironing. I very much like the way the extra weight helps iron out any creases.

Beach and Books

The cable is long enough to reach sockets with ease. It glides smooth and I am able to get the job done in no time. I spent about 90 minutes ironing with it. It heats up quickly and it irons easily and smoothly with a decent amount of steam.
