The booktrail
The elements of this book bring together such a rollercoaster of a story. I have loved Lisa Jewell since reading her first book Ralph’s Party when I first started work back in the early 2000’s, I wait every year in July for her next book to drop, and this book wow! As they get to know each other the disquieting feelings Alix ignored only grows stronger as she realises Josie is hiding some dark secrets.

Alex senses this darkness too, but the journalist in her compels her to keep going and discover what secrets she’s hiding, to reveal the story. Well, that’s the only normal thing these women share.

My first Lisa Jewell read and it definitely won’t be my last! A solid five star read.
