Quick and easy to replace by simple twisting the valve a quarter turn to expose the old washer When measuring your existing seal you will find over time these washers are prone to shrinking so may appear to be smaller If the valve lifts with ease, it could very well be an issue with the button instead. Quite often it can be this bellows washer, over time the washer may develop small fractures in it's surface as it's constantly expanding and contracting, therefore not keeping the air contained and not expanding enough to lift the flush valve assembly. Simply disconnect the pneumatic tube that it attached to your push button and blow down the tube. Your old washer once removed will have visible ribs imprinted into the rubber.

Thanks. After months and months of a leaky cistern, constantly trickling water into the pan, and a lovely gentleman from Severn Trent explained how easily it was to change a seal, I've finally got a proper working, non leaking toilet.

Will have to order a spare now as other flushes in the house are bound to fail now. I took a punt and ordered a replacement from Amazon. Prised out the old clip and the washer pops out.

Which is why I award 4 stars to this product; it does what it says and works perfectly but I don't feel it should be necessary to have to repair my toilet every 2 years. Happy Days. Two toilets started to have trickling water, fitted them both with this and it’s sorted the problem. Great buy and a rather rewarding fix!

i would advise cleaning up the seating point inside the flush as mine had build up remnants of the old washer and would have interfered with the new one. Perfect fit and did the job perfectly.
