This is the only product that does none of those things to my hair. It is not sticky or gummy.

Yes it is a dry wax, it is hard in the jar, I just scrape it with my fingernail and get a pea sized amount, rub it with my hands and go to work on my hair. At the end of the day I can brush through it, not hard, tacky, or glued.

Have tried so many different products to achieve my spiky, messy, and separated pieced out look. Otherwise, I have a soft touchable style. I have been wearing a spiky pixie cut for years.

This lasts a very long time because such a small amount is needed, holds well throughout the day, sometimes I finish my style with a little hairspray but it is not always necessary, just when I need extra staying power. Oh and there really isn't a scent, very lightly smells like beeswax think Burt's Bees original lip balm.
