For example, the main smoothing capacitor is a 400v high temperature Nichicon. This is a Makita battery charger. The main body is made from Polycarbonate. To my surprise, for such a cheap price it's a real Makita charger and also works on fake/knock off makita batteries!

ALWAYS. This allows for much quicker charging times. I have been using Makita tools for over 10 years. (Apart from the G series).

Works great. But the need to charge 2 batteries at the same time has become a must for me. The delivery took place one day before the specified date via DHL, that charger is packed in an original foil with Makita sticker and comes with an English plug plus Schuko plug adapter 👍🏻. You must always charge your battery as soon as it goes flat.

The onboard controller will then "brick" that battery and you will no longer be able to charge it. A 5aH battery fully charges from dead in 55 minutes.

Have used this most days since purchasing it several months ago and it still works great. I've opened one up. Suitable for all the later "slide" in type batteries.
