Always unicorn

The story line is that Olive lost her sister during an air raid in WW2 and is then evacuated to Devon. The story is about two children, Cliff and Olive, who are evacuated to Devon after an air raid is has gone off in London and they see their older sister meet a man in an ally way before a bomb goes off and she disappears. I love this book so much and I recommend it to ages 8+. I give this book five stars and definitely recommend this book! More of her books are set around WW2 and I want to read a lot more of them.

by TommyLetters from the lighthouse is amazing and I rate it five stars . Its good to read to a class if you are a teacher and just as good to read to yourself.

In Devon, she finds a secret note to help her find her sister…Letters From The Lighthouse is so full of suspense and integrates lots of true facts about WW2. by Fearne This is a brilliant book and its beautifully written. Every chapter has even bigger cliffhangers and more questions to ask.

The suspense in this story was outstanding and I couldn’t stop wanting to read on. Reviews by some of our Year 6 pupilsThis book is about 2 children who were evacuated to the southern west coast during WW2. We focused on this book over full term and think it was brilliant. I recommend this book to KS2 (8+) and above.

Hopefully this review will get you to read this book. All of my classmates wanted to read more and more and more so we even begged our teacher to keep reading into lunchtime.

Olive finds a code in her missing sister's coat pocket and, with Cliff by her side, has to crack the code to try to find her sister. There is a mystery that runs throughout the book as well as some issues. It kept us busy and I’m looking forward to reading more Emma Carol books as she is such a good author.
