Tasting Notes
If you speak to those who make whisky they always talk very fondly of Clynelish. Upon adding a splash of water, it reveals a delightful waxy feel. Pleasant creamy mouthfeel; maritime generally. Ordered a bottle of Bruichladdich Islay Barley. A mile or so away the Clynemilton burn enters a rocky gorge and tumbles over several falls before its water is caught in a stone cistern and piped to the Distillery. Dried flowers on a beach. Later, brown sugar. 46 % abv In 1819 the Clynelish Distillery was founded on Scotland's remote North-East Coast by the future Duke of Sutherland and the Wild Cat mark is inspired by the Sutherland Coat of Arms. Some salt, dryish yet an attractive, even slightly bitter finish.

Its quintessential. Also adding a few drops of water to this just opens it up to be more enjoyable , even for first time scotch drinkers. I don't often add ☆ 5 to alcoholic beverages, but to be honest, I think this Kleinelish 14 is extremely tasty for a whiskey that can be bought for around 6000 yen.
More than a sip
(mango, grapefruit, papaya)You want slight peat notes - you got it! The pricing is totally on point also.

It's quite hard to find a truly bad whisky, and equally hard to find something so perfect as this. A superb whisky. (muscovado sugar, honeycomb)You want tropical notes - you got it!

You want honey notes - you got it! It may be a core range, and it may be the only Clynelish available without resorting to insane auctions and elaborate heists, but its very very very good stuff.
