The body, like all Nikon SLR systems, are designed to be balanced perfectly with the kit lens provided, this is no exception, when you hold your fingers along the grippy rubber pad on the right hand side, and let the camera dangle down, it balances beautifully, reassuring you that this is such a quality design and makes sure you realize the time and effort that went into designing. great seller as well, i got this for my son who loves it, i think he uses it with the D300 and he speaks nothing but good things about it, he says the D7000 is built like a tank lol no infact really good,As for memory you will get just under half the shots of a d60 aprox 408 from a 4gig card due to the file size and increase of pixels but cards are cheap these days so thats not a problem i tested a clas 6 card and found it was plenty fast enough for action shots in scene mode (BOOO I HEAR THE PROS SAY BUT THE SCENE MODES WORK REALLY WELL IN MOST CONDITIONS SO PHOTOGRAPHIC SNOBS CAN SHUSH :P )so a class ten card would be more than ample for the buffer to write to quickly.

I am 16, and spent all of my baby savings on this Japanese wonder-child, and I have to tell you, confused amazonian camera searchers; it was terribly worth it. Been looking to replace my trusty D60 for a few months & after reading lots of reviews, i purchased this D7000. I love it.

2 functions buttons which can be allocated to effects of your choice are placed on the front of the body, and again are easily accessible. Again, Amazon has managed to deliver this item before it was dispatched: According to Amazon it would be dispatched on the 28th of June, but it arrived on the 22nd. The initial results of the camera are just amazing, high quality images in low light and normal light. But I could start shooting without reading the thick manual because the buttons are quite easy to understand.
