Some minor wear to the spine". " So yeah, at last I have. The nostalgia value of getting a copy of the first recipe book I had on leaving home makes up for a few loose pages. In fact the book I received was missing its dust jacket (the "cover"), had a stain along the upper edge of the front board, and the upper corner of the front board appeared to have been bitten off by a cat, as it was missing - torn off.

There appear to be fewer photographs. :) I would recommend buyers go for the 1990 reprint (on the down side, the 1990 reprint it is a slightly larger book, with bigger pages, than earlier reprints).

I ordered this book from World of Books Ltd on Amazon. A conversion table is provided for metric and imperial measures and all recipes provide measures in both Metric and imperial. The book is thick, heavy and the pages are of good quality paper with a silky feel - ok for a light wipe with a cloth, unlike pre 1985 editions I have seen (which had rather flimsy, thin paper with rough texture).
