There are pictures and explanations about certain stitches but you need to at least have a basic knowledge of pattern reading and simple stitches to complete this. I loved the detail of Harry Potter's wand crochet, version “Prisoner of Azkaban” onwards. -terms are US which is fine if you are experienced, but I noticed not every stitch was defined/described in the instructions.

Plastic catches on the yarn, and the hook bends. Definitely would have given the set 5 stars but for the wool. But I want to believe that maybe it will work well for you.
