As stated it’s SHARP! PROS: - Able to be used left or right handed - Removes mats and tangles easier than brush - Soft, ergonomic feelCONS: - None. I also used it on her hind legs for stubborn knots so I don’t hurt her. Easy to use but the other reviews nailed it - safety first when dealing with the blades.

But, I was still able to get the mat out fairly quickly (less than 10 minutes of working them, got 2 out). My poor pup had such bad mats due to blowing out his puppy coat.

- Always comb in the direction of the hair growth - To get the fur out of the comb (while saving your fingers from getting cut), simply rub the back of the comb onto the carpet or a paper towel in a motion away from the base of the comb. It detangles better than a brush or comb. His undercoat came out in bundles!

She can tolerate it without feeling the need to leave, so we will be making it a regular use tool at home to increase the frequency of our brushing and hopefully decrease shedding. Many people get both the de-matting comb and the mat remover, and use the de-matting comb first, to break up the larger tangles, and then use the mat remover to tackle the smaller chunks. Perfect product to detangle dogs hair. It easily cut out my rough collies puppy’s mats from behind her ears.
