After tonight's lesson, he will likely be able to read the third book! Our first night, our kid really struggled. Then after some research I came to know about the Bob books and decided to buy. In love!

The books were great and the quality was everything it described to be. Easy to sound out). Each book gets more complex and a good pace as you go along so remains fun. They are a perfect size for travelling or keeping in my purse so he can read if we are out and need to kill some time (say, waiting at dentist or doctors office).

These books were way too simple for my son. I will need to look at the others and see what set would be a better fit for us.

My newer reader (5 yo) gets so excited about books he can read from start to finish on his own. I wanted to develope my 4yr olds reading skills. But when he finished the first book completely he was so proud that he could read and gained the confidence. The one issue with Bob Books is that once they learn these words, the books become too easy fast.
