The real draw here is the lovely, detailed illustrations. It is a quick read with a positive message.

Mr R.

This is a cute, whimsical books about an intuitive little boy named Arthur. The author puts himself in the book and says Arthur is his ancestor. I recommend ages 7-10 to read this magnificent book. I like how they have included gods4.

One day Arthur finds a terrifying beast destroying the city and injuring people! Who will like this book? My tween daughter thought the story was cute, too. Both my 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter enjoyed listening and requested it again.

I hope Joe Todd-Stanton continues Arthur's adventure with a follow-up book! The story weaves together Norse myths with an unlikely young hero at the helm. What shall Arthur do now? What I like about this book1.

Arthur is very curious, which gets him and his village into trouble. My kids enjoyed looking at them after we read the story, pointing out little details they'd missed. His inquisitiveness and quick-thinking also ends up solving the big problem.
