Added a photo that shows how to easily see if the book in an SFBC edition. They wound up shipping the lower quality and smaller SFBC hardcover edition and NOT the publisher's edition. Note the white square at the bottom right of the back of the book with the number 1346872. I have the whole mistborn collection and the story is pretty great

Had I not been suspicious about the size and quality of the book, I would have been 'taken'. It's the most fun book I've read this year hands down and I can't wait to read the rest of the series. For more info, the SFBC edition is about 8.

. Sanderson fans should have this. 5 inches in height for the publishers edition. That, beside the smaller size and lower quality of materials, marks the SFBC 'hardcover' edition.

WARNING: I purchased this book through the Amazon website and the 'lowest' hardcover price was the automatic selection when I clicked buy. It's so funny, clever and gripping, the way Sanderson uses his own ukes of the magic systems is so ingenious and the little things here and there nodding to Era 1 is just beautiful. This turned out to be a third party seller. 5 inches in height as opposed to 9.

Also, the binding and materials of construction are noticeably cheaper. Only down side is, for some reason the writing on the front cover for the authors name is not metallic like on the other mistborn novels - not a biggie, just a small thing I noticed Amazon needs to take more care to separate sellers who are trying to sell inferior editions under the publisher's edition listing! The book was also delivered with care, although a day late, but that's not a big deal.
