About this deal
As the temperature increases, the molecules of gas in the container move faster, which increases the pressure. The liquid will move from an area of higher pressure to an area of lower pressure. With a hand boiler, the temperature of your hand is enough to cause the liquid to bubble and appear to boil. See what happens! But it sure is fun.
- Assorted colours - comes in green, blue, red & purple.
- A randomly picked colour will be shipped
- Looks striking on a windowsill or bookshelf
- A great way to get kids curious about the science behind common phenomena

Imagine my surprise when instead of a "Hand Boiler" it arrived labeled as a "Love Thermometer. The Hand Boiler/Love Thermometer/Whatever did arrive in good shape, and it seems to work just fine, so there is that, though.

I bought this for my 12 year old nephew for Christmas. And maybe I should locate and print out some directions too, because a thermodynamics lesson is no good if you don't know what's actually happening.
" It seems odd to describe this as a fun scientific toy for kids, yet it comes in a completely inappropriate package. Sure, it is actually a fun scientific toy, but I'm going to have to find a different box to package it in before Christmas.
