Not so languages and subtitles of the series, as I will say later. Sometimes, especially in dark areas, you can see some grain, but not only does it not look bad, but it helps to enhance the somewhat retro aesthetics of the series. This blu-ray release looks great and is considerably better than the original, apart from noise in some darker scenes which is understandable due to the age, the picture is very good, importantly it has also has now been adjusted to take advantage of 16:9 (originally the show was broadcast in 1. I can't describe my love to The Wire.

It can be hard to get into for some people. Excellent audio and video quality in the Blu Ray version. In any case, there is no complaint in this regard, because everything that is to offer possibilities is good, because, well, everyone will be able to choose what he pleases most. I understand that this is a very long series and that something had to be done to reduce the costs and physical footprint of the box-set but I wouldn't have minded paying an extra 10-30% extra for something a bit more robust and practical.

The quality, both image and sound, is very good. Let us not confuse the words in Italian, because nothing in the product is written in Italian: on covers, covers and back covers everything comes in English. ) If we skip this unfortunate presentation, I think that the product can be recommended without any major problem, especially since this full edition of the series is the most affordable of the ones I observed. This is not because of the quality of the edition, but because of its external presentation, to the case: it does not bother me that this is a cardboard box and that the inner carpetillas are also made of that material (after all we know how bad plastic is), but there is something I don't just understand: each carpetilla, as I said before, brings four discs, but they come simply nailed to the cardboard without any fastening, so it is impossible to handle one of these carpetillas with one hand without leaving and dropping the discs (I mean it, despite knowing it, when removing them and putting them off the player, it happened to me a couple of times); and the same happens with the fastening of the carpetillas inside the box, because it has no closure of any kind, so it is also easy for you to move it out some folder and fall off.

I attach photos for those who have doubts about the types of audio it has. I have already seen it or know how many times, I have it in digital format, but I have always wanted to have it in physical format, and here I found it, very fast delivery and without bumps as other comments put, the product is intact, I will see it again and I will comment on the quality of the image and audios.

Actually, everyone should. The wire is in my opinion one of the best crime dramas of all time, the stories are very well written and that writing is done justice by the excellent performances put in by the actors, there isn't much more that I can say about it that hasn't already been said except that it is a definite must-watch for anyone who is a fan of drama. This opinion is not about the quality of the series, which would deserve five stars without thinking, but about the blue ray edition that I acquired, specifically what Amazon calls “The Wire - Complete [Edizione: Regno Unito] [Italy]. I'm going to order this set soon because I need it.
