Tried cheaper alternative previously but this handheld is better. I imagine battery life may be slightly shorter as it's very powerful but the others couldn't keep up and would take 2-3x longer to do the job. I really needed a handheld vacuum, and after trying one and being unimpressed I ordered quite a few including another Shark (which was a bit more expensive).

I wanted to save other people the time. I am amazed by the amount of Jack Russell terrier hair and fluff that it has managed to remove from what seemed to be an already clean carpet. So no problem with picking up long hair (human and pets) but you will need to unpick the hair that are caught in the rotary brush head.

I couldn’t believe how powerful this is. Difficult to get the hair out of the brush. See the amount of dust I picked up from the stairs and upstairs! I'm loving itI've tried other vacuum cleaners on fabrics and pet beds before, some way more powerful than this one (that's how I learned when it comes to hair and dust potency is not a good indicator), this is the only one that really solved my problems.

Very ashamed that my floor was so dusty upstairs! I thought my stair carpet was clean, my cleaner (a 3 year old) used it for the first time and proved just how unclean it really was. I tend to clean the floors and en suite with the dry and wet flash mop but need something for the rugs and stairs. I tested it in a towel covered chair that my long hair cat uses a lot and you can see the results in the pics.

The media could not be loaded. Didn't know I needed one until my son said dad you need a hand held vacuum. Battery life, well not long of course, maybe ten minutes, but perfectly suitable for my usage, and really, what more could you expect from the price and size.

I would certainly recommend this, I didn’t have particularly high expectations for a cheap handheld, so I am pleasantly surprised by how effective it is. I am leaving some before after photos. All in all, I can recommend this product.
