I read this as part of a book club & I'm so glad it was chosen as it's not something I would usually pick up - I lean towards thrillers, which this is not. However, I absolutely loved it, I was hooked from the beginning & just couldn't put it down. It's been compared to Normal People & I can see why, it's a similar vibe. The only slight issue was the lack of speech marks which caused confusion at times - would be interested to know why the author chose to omit them!
