Front groove that allows corners to be chamfered, template for sharpening blades, key for disassembling/reassembling blades, no spare blades but easy to find because they are standard. No regrets.

Perfect, as always with Makita, solid 18V planer, sufficiently powerful, autonomy following battery amperage, quite heavy with the battery, but we most often work flat, so it's not a problem. I have been a joiner for ten years now, and always used a dewalt 240 v planer, served me well, but this Makita 18v battery operated planer is fantastic, yes it only goes to 2mm rather than 4mm corded, but its great you can walk anywhere no transformer, no cables to trip up on, couldn't be more pleased. Affordable prices compared to GSB and free delivery.
