This book is spectacular. ‘No country in this world will love you as yours does.

’‘You deserve to be happy here. Having lost her whole family, Salama and her best friend and sister in law are trying to survive.
Sabah Ali
Though it’s a story of one, it’s a heartfelt story of the decent, sinless Syrian people. For years Syrians have been tortured, murdered and banished from their country at the hands of a tyrannical regime, and we owe it to them to know their stories. An historical fiction with a young adult romance blossoming amidst the chaos is never something I thought I would fall for.

This book is a must-read historical fiction to understand the Syrian war and its people. I couldn't be happier.
