Well what can I say about this paperback, it has some very nice prints and a mixture of Sorayama’s work (not only robots but mostly) it has some of my favourite work but I still feel its missing some of his best pieces. Amazingly the book even has some of his working process, a number of detailed pictures of Sorayama making his work and how its done.
For some reason nowhere specifies this so just to clear things up this book has 80 pages in total, 16 of them black and white and the rest are full colour. Upon arrival I thought to myself it couldn’t harm to have a look at it before returning the book and I was pleasantly surprised so I decided to keep it. If you are a looking for nice full colour copies of his work this is for you but being this is a rare book to find it may cost you a bit more. It’s a shame this is one of the only rare books were Sorayama’s work is printed at nice substantial size because his most recent books available are printed at A5 which really doesn’t do his work justice.
When I first ordered this book I actually decided to cancel it because I was under the impression there wasn’t much in the book worth having, however it was too late and already dispatched so I only had the option of sending it back when I received it.
