NOTE: CableMatters, please make a 6' version! Review this time: I will post a comparison photo with what I bought before, but obviously the reel part was small and improved. I'm using a mobile battery compatible with TypeC and PD, but this is because the charging current is doubled when using a Typec → Typec cable than a TypeC → Typec cable.

The only issue I've seen is some wear at one end of the connector where there has been some significant flex. However, if you want maximum durability, get a name brand braided cable. Improvement is a good thing, but isn't it different to sell them as the same product? I want to “charge quickly” for a limited time, such as during breaks, but it's a pity that I can't use it for rough use.

If you are looking for a device with a balance between all the features mentioned above, get this cable. This is a great product for those who hate cable mess, and awesome for a charging station which I’m using it for, glad I found these couldn’t be happier! As an aside, I searched for a reel-shaped cable on TypeC-Typec to charge my smartphone while hiking and arrived at this product.

0 cable and that it can only deliver 60w It is exactly what it says it is in the listing but it’s important that you understand that this is a usb 2. The Cable Matters version is a much better balance between durability, portability, usability and price. They are larger that other retractable cables but that’s because USB-C is rated to carry more power, so the wires need to be thicker.

. I think there are some issues with the durability of the cable, especially in the immediate vicinity of the connector.

Took awhile to find a cable which can consistently allow 3 Amps which means 5V x 3A will give around 15W. Less than a year of regular use or accidental over-extension will break the recoil mechanism, rendering the device useless. It was bad that I threw it naked in the bag while plugged into the mobile battery, but the coating was damaged as shown in Photo 1, and it was in a state where it could or could not be charged.

Very good cables. However, since the reel type cable that says USB PD support in the C-C type is quite limited, I wonder if it can be helped.
