This is a Port wine for those who appreciate quality in every detail. On the palate, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed with a luscious and long finish. Perfect match with sweet desserts, such as apple pie with cinnamon. After a decade of care and slow oak-maturation this wine is a wonderful example of the complex flavours of tawny port. Ont the nose, it shows complex nutty aromas combined with hints of honey and figs. Which age in seasoned oak casks in the 1890 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia. The only downside I can think of is that the bottle runs out. It compares much better to other amber 20 year ports (at a 1/3 of the price!

. I highly recommend serving with meats like Steak (Venison or Elk) or with either some chocolate or madeira cake, it's a delightful pairing. I'll be honest, I almost never write reviews since I find most products forgettable. I'm using box for coins.

Tawny port is not my favourite tipple - I much prefer Ruby and, in particular an LBV. The palette of this drink is very smooth, easy on the taste buds. To be fair, this is one of the better tawny ports and is very quaffable!

Amazing experience. I find tawny port to be a tad too sweet and lacking in depth. I have been unable to contact anyone about this. The box was undamaged and the bottle is fine but the storage box is ruined which will defect the purpose of selecting this purchase.

I find for me it's best served slightly chilled roughly between 17°C and 19°C . Very tasty flavour !
