All I needed to do afterwards was download the ASUS router app and follow the on screen prompts. This router really does make the most of my speeds with a 6ms ping over WiFi which is great for gaming. The only thing I would recommend is using the same SSID and password as your old router.

Performance 🤩 Interface Media Streaming, Gaming, Working from Home. Manual is entirely bereft of information, but everything you need is available online anyway. Devices that were poor signal are now medium to high signal, even the TV with the fire stick on it, which is the furthest from the router, is now reading 3 bars instead of one.

Features mind blowing. Just select BT Infinity (VDSL) and the wizard does the work for you. Everything is much snappier.

It would be too much to list all options here. No bull about placement or type of connection, the Vodafone tech and the initial I cannot see any connection issues dropped, his tone changed he said I will take another look, ten mins later it seems there had been an issue which he said was being dept with. So I eventually splashed out on this router and I’m pleased I did.

- Adaptive QoS let’s you optimise the router for different network uses on the fly. As I could not find anything to help online, I had to trial and error.

From here you should go to the main router page, of which I have provided a picture. First time I have purchased a nearly new or return item from Amazon. It isn’t wall mountable which is a shame. The problem is my provider supplies an Amazon eero router which in my opinion doesn’t have a very long range or a WiFi throughput strong enough to push the speeds I’m paying for.

This can be an advantage, especially when working from home. Set-up needed to be done via a wired connection from my laptop though, the app only seems to work once the unit is set up and ready to go. 50.
