Amazing read! Mason takes the reader on what's possibly the best written account of a young pilot's journey through the Vietnam War. Mr. Would love to meet the author Robert Mason!

What a great book, you don't have to be particularly into all aspects of War, this is simply a heartfelt day to day, warts an all story of how it was during the Vietnam conflict for everyone, including these at times crazy aviators, the 'one liners' that are spoken throughout the book are classic, and worth the read for that alone, many thanks and my total respect too the author. "Chickenhawk" is by far the best account and memoir of a UH-1D "Slick" pilot ever written.
