Grace is a brilliant character and I liked her straight away and wanted to keep reading, to find out how her story developed. The book is a real feel-good, heart-warming story which will make you smile whilst reading it and afterwards.

She is often mistaken for one of the help. Moving into the castle, she meets celebrity chef Andrew Glossop who rents the servants’ quarters. What is even more special is that the real life Grace Power is a super amazing lady who features strongly in the online book community, the use of her name is well deserved and a huge compliment to her and those of us who know her.
They have three young sons together - Freddie, Joey and Billy. The narrator reminds me of the wonderful Karen Cass, I will definitely be looking into more audibles by Eilidh Beaton. I was gifted the kindle version by a kind soul, but with a TBR pile as long as the Nile, and other bookish commitments looming ( blog tour for Lisa Hobman) I got hold of the audible so I could listen to the story whilst doing other things. I enjoyed seeing the castle through the characters’ eyes and wondering how they were going to make it their home.
Hector her grandfather's best friend and gardener calls her lady Grace and is good to and for her and her 3 boys Freddie, Joey and Billie. One night, after being hit again, Grace throws Cole out.
I really enjoyed this well written and smile inducing book and absolutely recommend it to anyone who loves a good heart warming story of love, deceit, friendships, determination and honesty. Grace Power is married to Cole, a violent waste of space, and living in a miserable flat in Devon. She can’t help noticing he is both rich and gorgeous, though obviously way out of her league.
So when she hears she has inherited Heartcross Castle in Scotland after her grandfather has died, she realises they have to move there to get away from Cole and make a new start. Grace’s friends are also lovely and I enjoyed the camaraderie between them. One of the first people we meet on the path of her new life is Andrew who lives in the Servants Quarters. The story is well paced and starts on a sad and traumatic note where Grace finds herself as the new owner of the rundown Heartcroft Castle after escaping a toxic relationship without a penny to her name.
We also meet some fun filled friends from her youth whom she hadn't seen in over 10 years since she had left. Andrew is a celebrity chef and very dashing. The three boys are beautifully written too and I loved how their relationships with their mum and each other are described.
