In the process of laying a name-brand floor heating mat on my bathroom floor. I may never use it again, but it was worth the price for this one-time use. A weight can be used, but I chose to just press down on the mat using my body weight. Anyway, it worked!
It would require the process of pressing it down into the thin-set base using a roller. The company's roller was about 5 times as much as this one, and both do the same thing.
