The only way to get them working completely reliably was to set a short press of the Hue buttons for turn on, and a press and hold to turn off. But it is an issue. As stated however, I feel these are NEARLY the perfect smart plug. They pair easily and work with a faint bit of lag but nothing more than the standard lights (unless you're turning them on and off very quickly and also switching the plug on and off yourself).

This set up works well in the main. The plugs are hidden behind a desk and turn my computer power tower and another extension lead on and off. Possible yes. The only way to get the plug up and running again was to turn it off and on at the wall socket.

Thank you. Secondly, while these plugs are compatible with Hue bridges, there are some limitations. As outlined though, there was an easy and reliable workaround.

Local control via zigbee instead of wifi is great. I’m sure many people will be buying these to connect to a Hue bridge, as I did, and for me these have one massive advantage over the Hue own brand of smart plugs. I’ve had 2 of these plugs for around 2 months, and you may argue that only needing one reset in 2 months is pretty good going. Would I recommend these?
