It works well and if your dog really doesn't like the raiin, it will only take a few times for them to adjust to it. In anticipation of the heavy hurricane rains several months ago, I purchased this umbrella for my senior dog, knowing she would not want to go out in the extremely heavy rains that we would be receiving. .
