The packaging was pretty great, and it comes with an included pop filter which, to my surprise, was actually really great and filters out almost all of the air coming from the air-ey letters. The pop shield that is included is a great idea as this stops any plosives from being heard and popping the mic.

The stand is a nice addition and handy if you don’t have a better alternative. Rode's mic has a pop-filter in the box which is a big plus for me, because although I could order a delivery for Blue-Yeti to my country, but no pop-filter seller gave me that option so I would had to buy a pop-filter locally somewhere. It also comes with a great stand that works well and sits at a nice angle but I have mine on a boom arm mount out of personal preference so I can move and adjust it's positioning with easy.

I purchased the Racksoy arm from Amazon for about £10 and it holds the weight very well, only time will tell but it was a much cheaper alternative to the Rode arm. The microphone is fantastic and the build quality is great. In less than a week I got the package right to my house, thanks to UPS so very much, they are the best!

£150 isn't cheap, however for the price I think it's brilliant. I have been recording with condenser mics for a good few years now. However, if you have a bit of background noise, then I would recommend that you look into the Samson Q9U or any other Dynamic USB microphone.

I also like the fact that this microphone just worked immediately after plugging it in. I also think it's more sensitive to the S's than my old mic, but this could be a direct result of having to be physically closer to the mic due to the reduced gain.

The main problem for me was that Rode-NT is more expensive, it didn't fit into my budget, but then I decided to wait for awhile and just in a few days Amazon put it on 30 pounds sale and that was the perfect time for my purchase. For my needs it doesn’t fit perfectly, but I believe it could outshine the competition with few drawbacks. The only downside to this mic is the dial controls the monitoring, where it should have maybe controlled the input. Yet, once again, if you have an acoustically treated room, and a fairly quiet ambience, then this is a great plug and play mic.

There is an internal light to let you know the mic is on and it’s just bright enough to let you know, it’s not full beams on a car like other brands. Much Love! I also think it looks good, with a little LED light on the inside to tell if it's on, but unlike a few other microphones. If you are concerned about that too, I can tell you clearly that my previous cheap microphone although it was Dynamic not Condenser, it had enormously bigger amount of noise.
