The movement is fluid and secure. Other sites price these about the same for a single! Sometimes you are ready for more weight but 5 pounds can be too big of a jump. I love that this is such a compact way to have 8 pairs of dumbbells and that it goes up in 3 pound increments.

I saw quite a few reviews of people getting only a single when the description says a pair. The weights do not slip or shake noisily around when in use either.

Me and my wife are absolutely loving it. I've only had them for a few weeks, but the build quality seems to be good and I can't imagine anything failing on them any time soon. Dumbbells that I already knew and that I am delighted to have acquired. If you receive one box, not as wide as the two shown in my pics, you unfortunately only received one unit.
