I got this for my girlfriend when I ordered the Cthulhu pack, figuring we could both get our own monster that we really like. These dice are frozen and cannot be rerolled. First: Note that since this expansion can be used with both King of Tokyo and New York, you should read this as one coming from a King of Tokyo perspective. Moving on to what this expansion adds though, it does a good job of delivering some fun additions.

Caveat: Cthulhu has a couple cards that can steal other people's generated cultists. Now onto the game: Cthulhu is a nice expansion to the game which adds two new mechanics: Players now have the ability to recruit Cultists (free ability) and Cthulhu (with Evolutions), has the ability to give other players ""Madness Tokens. I think these add a new welcome element to the game. Ideal for an afternoon with friends, a great board game that mixes strategy with luck!
