It clears the bathroom mirror within 3-4 minutes, plus during the very windy days we have had, the iris has remained perfectly closed. This fan is simply the best item I have bought and more than man enough for the task I required. I added a clip in accessory for Humidty and Auto run timer, plus I also removed the pull cord.
The bathroom to the property is small, and the ceiling height is lower than average, which caused many a problem of moist ceiling, damp issues - all this with tenants, who seemed to seldom open the bathroom window, never used the pull cord on the former fan to ventilate and of course lots of showers. Bought this fan and installed in a bathroom via existing external air brick during a refurb. that obviously wasn't good enough. To counteract the tenants desiring to turn off the fan via the isolator switch, I have put tamper evident seals on it - so I will know if there has been any monkey business.
The fan comes on with the main bathroom light on and/or if humidity reaches the level I have set it to, plus there is the additional over run. I sturdy quality fan which I hope will last a good 3 years. It was essential that I upgraded to something that would really work properly. Been using for 3 months, and yes it is noisier than the previous fan - but hey!
