I’ve heard great things about this book :) I read this due to the high praises from @thecrimebookshelf and just had to bump it up on my TBR list! This was a great read. Overall a very good read.

Just finished reading and it was brilliant! He doesn’t have the blood lust that seems to possess them. Highly recommend The woman has a way with using simple, declarative sentences that pack punches like Mike Tyson and paint pictures like Van Gough.

This was my first horror book I’ve read in a long time, and just wow. The third act of the story is a tightrope of tension that leads to a redneck Shakespearean tragedy. All I knew of Brother was that it had an effed up ending that’s typical with this author, and I love her for it. Brilliantly written but truly heartbreaking story.

We’re immediately thrust into the shenanigans of a murderous, backwoods family of West Virginians (huge eye roll at this trope, though I’m biased). I recommend this one and look forward to more of her work. Brother by Anna Ahiborn was just the kind of creepy thriller/horror book to get you in spooky mood. Horrified by his family and the things they do.
