I could not recommend this more. The stone came chipped on one corner on the coarse side but luckily it does not affect its performance. Seeing other reviewers say that the stone is radioactive, I also measured mine with my Inspector Alert.

I am just a beginner with whetstones but I had zero issues sharpening about 10 knives. Update 2: The new stone is around 70-80 cpm (background is around 30), which is acceptable. Very happy with this stone. Take little bit for arrive, but for the price is a good choice for start
