I drilled out the set screw because it was rusted in place. To use the tool you simply screw it on to your damaged garden Bibb. Paid for itself several times over in one use!

This tool saved the day! It was so much worth the little bit of money I spent instead of having to buy a whole new outside faucet which would have been very costly.

My anti-siphon/ anti-backflow attachment was leaking badly so I decided to remove it for replacement. This might gouge the threads and cause a leak. With the fixed threads however, the Bibb was somewhat useable, but I was able to stop the leaks completely with some pipe sealant tape and a quick release valve.

the cost of having a plumber replace the fixtures. This saved me over $600 as I live on a slab and the plumber would have had to come in the house and go through the inside walls to replace the whole assembly. The picture is the after of the threads of the faucet that was all full of calcium and a wire brush wouldn't clean it up.

Afterwards you unscrew the thread and examine the threads. I used the tool 3x's. I read the reviews and I did just as they said, use lubricant and take your time.

Like many others, had a damaged head due to a baddly treaded backflow adapter. Excellent valve vs. Threads repaired and No leaks!

It worked like a charm! I was quoted several hundred dollars by a plumper in my area to have the Bibb replaced. This will work on taps, spigots, and machined hose ends
