Thought I'd buy a fairly budget deck to start with as I wasn't sure what condition my old albums were in, having spent nearly 30 years in the eves of the attic. And, no - I don't play guitar. It's sturdy, looks good and sounds great. Found that lying around while clearing out.

Audio-Technica Thank you. Pleased to report that albums (200 or so) survived perfectly thanks to their airtight LP boxes; AND that this turntable plays them perfectly. The ability to play automatically is very useful when you get older and your hand is not too steady. Didn’t have a lot of money to spend but wanted the best I could afford.

Got this at a reduced price from the rrp which is always nice, the TT itself is great, easy to use controls, I have a bog standard 2. Accurate speeds. A really good replacement for my old Technics deck which packed up aged 25 years. Agonized for weeks about which one to buy and Im so glad I decided on this one.

The lid can be closed while playing (careful - this doesn't apply to all decks). Very pleased, and surprised, by the quality of output from this deck. Great sound quality, smart looking.
