About this deal
Fortaleza Tequila Blanco Tasting Notes
Flavourwise this delivers more citrus and cooked agave with vanilla, basil, olive, and lime. Nose: Citrus and roasted vegetables. 100% Agave, made with fresh spring water and presented in rather lovely hand blown glass bottles, this is one of the best blanco tequilas you can buy. Thank you and cheers! It’s popular with beginners and experienced tequila drinkers alike. Palate: Basil, olive oil, lime zest, and a bit of pepper. I reckon it would've remained intact had it dropped six feet. They produce a traditional line of three core Tequilas: a Blanco, a Reposado and an Anejo, along with the occasional special edition. When we run out of this at home we immediately replace it.

It's cleanly grassy almost citrus on the nose with a slightly earthy vegetal finish for a real taste of the agave it's made from. I went looking for it after seeing a documentary piece about its production process. I have a home bar with 6 tequilas and most visotors marvel at this tequila. I can't speak highly enough of this tequila.

A proper blanco you can sip or mix, this is how tequila should taste. And then buy another bottle First tried this over ice in a little tequila bar in Crete, has been my goto ever since, just perfect.
This is a great example of getting what you pay for. Buy it, sip it, enjoy and share it. A truly hand made spirit.
It's smooth and warm without any harsh bite or heat. I sip it straight at room temperature with a home made sangrita chaser (blood orange, pomegranate molasses, chilli etc).
