But there is a minority who cant bear to be without their high end coffee and this is for them. Like any espresso machine, the Pico is finicky in regard to the grind size of the coffee you put into it.

3-4 minutes of action during brewing (pour, prime, empty, fill, pre-extract, extract), and 10 minutes of cleanup for a total of 20 minutes-TOTALLY WORTH IT! Recommend experimenting a bit.

The pump has squeaked ever since we got it. Use filtered water. Just like your coffee machine, it depends on a bunch of variables but overall, the machine is capable of high quality, syrupy espresso extraction that will leave you pleasantly surprised.

I'm still using my Picopresso and I can take it away on holiday if camping or renting, which is more pleasurable that having to make do with an oversized French press. If you are thinking you are trotting off on the PCT with this and will have great espresso every morning…doable. Especially if you take short trips, cant bare to be without good espresso, and don’t mind a bit of prep keep reading.

It requires ‘super fine’ freshly ground coffee (read: you need to own a half decent grinder as supermarket ground coffee is normally too coarse) , a supply hot water, and facilities for cleaning it. It produces quality espresso like no other travel product.
