Contrary to what the product description states this model DCL043 did not have a red LED night vision friendly output. All in all I am satisfied with all three. (I added a carabiner clip and a Dewalt belt clip I had). The DCL050 is a work horse when working on the car of in a dimly lighted room (closet).

The DCL040 is a light weight spotlight best used in large garages or close range outside. I have a large acreage and I bought this flashlight to spot animals and whatnot on my property in the dark when I hear a noise on my property I like to know what's going on. Would buy again.

And I love that it goes with the dewalt battery that we already have! The fact that the battery lasts so long, I really don't have to worry about charging the battery often if I keep it on the light and toss it in the truck.

I use this in a shop setting and it is very reliable even when I dropped it from about 8 feet high I am very happy with my DeWalt LED 20 volt Max flashlight. Best used in wide open spaces. Very low power drain and will last hours using any Dewalt 20V MAX™ battery.

I am very impressed with the sheer distance that this light shines i also love how I can adjust the head 90°, I can use it like a lantern and I love the pistol grip it feels like a drill in my hand with the trigger for the light switch the only downfall in my opinion is there is only two settings for the light dim and bright . It's great, does what you want, and plenty bright. I'm still giving it five stars across the board because I'm very happy with the battery life and the quality and the usefulness of this flashlight.
