Music is subjective I would recommend getting the CD first and foremost and then decide if you like the album enough to get the vinyl as an extra for it’s beauty. There are some really catchy tunes on here like, Breaking The Circle, Lost In The Sunshine, Seeing In Colour, & Until The Wheels Fall Off.
I like Sophie Ellis Bextor and this latest album is not a disappointment. I find it a very easy to listen to album that requires no skipping of songs, you can play it from start to finish. Sophie’s voice as always sounds wonderful, you can clearly hear every word she sings. I also like the slightly softer more stripped back tracks here, you can just let this album wash over you it is a joy.
4 stars as I think it’s very good, but not quite sure it’ll go down as a groundbreaking classic. The track We’ve Been Watching You is a little quirky but I like it and is a good ending to the album. I’ve got the album on CD and ice blue vinyl, the vinyl is just like the CD only downside is the occasional pop and crackle which new vinyl seems to just come with these days even after a clean, but overall the LP pressing isn’t bad quality and the bigger artwork is nice.
