Word of caution for Grohe showers. The pl8 people could charge double and it would still be worth it

Experienced bathroom fitter. Seems like the pl8 helped the plumber out just fine but left me with a problem to solve. Have bought several to keep in stock and won't fit without one now.

I have a Grohe Euphoria 260 shower and it comes with the dog-leg pipe connectors you see in the picture. . The pipes are rock solid and at perfect 150 centres.

I drilled and countersunk a couple of extra holes to accommodate the stud arrangement, but probably didn't need to. Saw this product on a YouTube video, bought it on a whim.

Luckily I had a box of random washers and found two to go in the recess on the end of the Marlow connector and that has formed a good seal. Could not get them to centre or level, then I pulled a bit of board out and attached the pl8.

No pictures of that because I'm not taking it off now that it's stopped leaking! It was really quick and the results were perfect. Extremely well designed and made, takes all the headache out of alignment of the pipes and I know that the shower mixer has a solid mount. Absolutely money well spent, great product.
