My 2 year old daughter and I both love this book! I'm actually glad there is no glitter on the inside of the board book, as my daughter picked at the glitter on the cover and took off a bit of paint (photo attached).

My 3 year old boy loved it! Even though the story is longer than many other board books, it holds her interest all the way through. I really try to be thoughtful about the messages I expose her to, and I think this one is net positive. Please see attached review by my 5 year old daughter

It's the first time I've introduced her to the idea of someone wanting to control another person, or such a villainous character as Sam Sly is, but I think it deals gently with the subject for innocent souls. Children enjoyed the book. The words are lyrical and fun to read. Can be enjoyed by boys and girls.

An interesting story for children along with such vibrant and colorful illustrations. Bought it for world book day & shared it with the children, whilst dressed as the singing mermaid!
